Annelise Vogt
Observational documentary about work, water and the people who do it

Annelise Vogt makes observational documentaries about work: who does it, where, and what it costs them. She spends long periods with her subjects before filming, often without a camera at all, and her films are known for their patience and their refusal to explain.
Low Water, her feature-length film for Fernway about small-boat fishermen on two coasts, won the Grand Jury Prize at Saltmarsh Documentary Festival and was an Official Selection at Northlight Film Festival. She trained as a sound recordist, still thinks about sound before picture, and lives in Berlin.
