Portrait of Mara Okonkwo

Kofi Mensah-Hart grew up filming his friends' bands in south London and has never really stopped. His music videos are shot close and on the move, usually with the smallest crew the job allows, and he favours real locations and the light already in them over anything built.

His tour film Feedback followed The Lowlands across twenty-two dates, and his video for Juno Vale, Afterglow, won Best Cinematography at the Meridian Music Video Awards. He is drawn to long-form documentary about musicians and the people around them, and is based in London.
